Corey Alan Bennett, 30, of Chambersburg, attacked three Cumberland County Prison corrections officers and a fellow inmate Middlesex Township Police announced on Oct. 10, 2022.
The attack left all four victims with "visible injuries," the police say.
For this incident, Bennett was charged with three counts of aggravated assault, and one count of simple assault, the police state in the release.
He supposedly also made terroristic threats to two prison staff members during the assault on Oct. 6, court records show.
According to court documents, the first time he attacked the staff happened on Aug. 4— both incidents happened in the Cumberland County Prison—although additional information on both causes was unavailable.
Bennett was previously jailed in Franklin County Prison but after he accused guards of attacking and raping him— even though courts dismissed his accusations— he was moved to Cumberland County Prison, according to court documents.
He had previously been registered as a sex offender after being found guilty in 2012 for aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor in Tennessee in 2010, according to Pennsylvania's sex offender registry.
After moving to Pennsylvania and failing to register as a sex offender he allegedly continued to pursue sexual relationships with minors including the rape of a teenage girl in his Chambersburg home in Aug. 2020, according to court documents.

In that case, Bennett supposedly pretend to be a teenager using various phone numbers in an app and exchanged videos and messages with a girl, Herald Mail Media reports.
He then allegedly sexually extorted her, threatening to share the messages or worse— kill her— if she would not have sex with him, according to court records the outlet obtained.
One day, when his mother, whom he lived with had left, the girl came to his home, "Bennett grabbed her by the wrist and took her to his bedroom. She described him pushing her down onto the bed and forcing her to have sex as she tried to push him away and told him to stop," court documents state according to the outlet.
The girl was only 12 years old at the time of the alleged rape, court records show.

That case of rape in Franklin County is ongoing and his next court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 12, another court docket shows.
